A Polish online retailer is now listing two unannounced Sony smartphones, model numbers G8341 and G8441. As previously reported, the G8341 could be the rumored Xperia XZ1, while the G8441 could be the Xperia XZ1 Compact – both these handsets are expected to be officially unveiled in early September at IFA 2017.
While the retailer does not have photos or specs to share, it mentions four color variants for each of the two devices. The Sony G8341 (possibly the Xperia XZ1) should be released in Black, Moonlite Blue, Venus Pink, and Warm Silver, while the Sony G8441 (possibly the Xperia XZ1 Compact) is expected to arrive in Black, Horizon Blue, Snow Silver, and Twilight Pink. These certainly sound like color variant names that Sony would use, which makes us think that the Polish retailer already received some official details about the upcoming phones.
Assuming that the G8341 and G8441 are indeed the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact, the handsets could run Android O out of the box, being powered by Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 835 processor. Rumors have it that the XZ1 sports a 5.2-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels, while the XZ1 Compact has a 4.6-inch screen with 720 x 1280 pixels (just like Sony’s previous Compact handsets, including the Xperia X Compact – pictured above).
Apparently, in Europe, the Sony G8341 will cost about €750, while the Sony G8441 should cost around €650. For the US market, this could mean $750 and $650, respectively. We’ll bring more details about these smartphones as soon as new info comes to light.
